| Special Services The Ultrasound division of Johns Hopkins Hospital performs over 24,000 examinations each year, including abdominal and gynecologic ultrasound, hysterosonography, obstetrics (particularly first trimester), organ transplants and carotid and peripheral vascular ultrasound. All studies are reviewed and stored on a PACS system. Special areas of research include prostate, 3D and gynecological ultrasound. Ultrasound Equipment: 13 rooms equipped with state of the art scanners including seven Philips 5000, two Philips IU-22, two Sequoia, one Siemens Elegra, one Acuson XP 10 dedicated for ultrasound-guided biopsies and one sonositic Titan and one GE Voluson 750. Several scanners have 3D capabilities.
