[Graduation] Russell H. Morgan, a native of London, Ontario, completed his medical training at the University of Western Ontario. His work included the development of the automatic x-ray timer as well as major advancements in fluoroscopic screen intensification. He arrived at Johns Hopkins in 1946 as the inaugural chairman of our department, subsequently serving as the dean of the School of Medicine from 1971-1975.
