Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 8th Interventional MRI Symposium, organized by the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, University of Leipzig, Germany in cooperation with the Department of Radiology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, and the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore.

The program will be composed of lectures of invited speakers and proffered papers. We encourage all engaged in the field of interventional MRI to submit abstracts to our symposium. The meeting is endorsed by the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) and the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB).

Leipzig has a long standing tradition in classical music, trade fairs and print media. The university just celebrated its 600th anniversary. In the 18th century the famous writer Gotthold Ephraim Lessing summarized his experience with the city: ”I am coming to Leipzig, a place where the whole world can be seen in miniature.” Today, Leipzig is a lively town with many historical sites and a great variety of cultural events.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Leipzig!
