OISTeR directed by Dr. Katarzyna J. Macura, will provide assistance in the following areas:
- Facilitating Imaging Expert Consultation for project design and implementation
- Development of Imaging Protocols – modality specific
- Facilitating access to imaging resources
- Assistance with protocol preparation for IRB
- Education and Training - Systems and Procedures
- Facilitating Inter-Departmental Collaborations and Outside Collaborations with Industry or Other Academic Institutions within the CTSA consortium

Who is eligible to receive consultation services?
Consultation is available for clinical and translational investigators in the Johns Hopkins community (postdoctoral fellows and faculty members). What kind of consultation is and is not available?
Our consultants serve the role of advisor and facilitator. We are focused on assisting with the planning and design of research proposals and/or methods for image analysis but do not provide ongoing support for the implementation of new studies or the analysis of data from existing studies. We can assist in the identification of appropriately trained individuals who are available for collaborations. Also, members of the "rapid response team" can assist in the identification of imaging experts who can provide additional consultation. What costs are associated with consultation?
Consultation is provided free of charge to Hopkins investigators. To request an imaging consultation, log in to ICTR Connection Request with your JHED ID and select "Imaging Support (OISTeR)" http://ictr.johnshopkins.edu/client/ Services for the management of research imaging data through the Johns Hopkins Medical Image Research Archive Center (JHMIAC) are offered with a fee schedule outlined at JHMIAC http://www.hopkinsradiology.org/OISTeR/JHMIAC
